Understanding Computer Laptop Batteries
Nickel-cadmium (NiCd) batteries: These were first manufactured batteries for laptops. They were relatively cheap, had high performance and versatile because they are used in a variety of products. However, NiCd batteries have now been abandoned by laptop manufacturers with the introduction of more efficient and lighter batteries.
Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries: NiMH was a big improvementabout the performance, reliability, cost, safety and capacity. The "memory effect" was the only issue with NiMH batteries, which require that they be discharged completely before recharging to gain the highest performance. These batteries are still found in older laptop models.
Lithium Ion (LION): This type of battery has become the most popular for laptops, because the "memory effect was eliminated, and much lighter than the other two weighed. However, the market price is also thehighest.
Battery cycle:
A battery cycle is every time you load a battery or discharging. Technically, it's as can the number of cycles a battery to perform before its nominal capacity falls below 80% of the original wattage. Lifetime from 500 to 1200 cycles are typical. For example, a NiCd battery life of 500-1000 or more cycles.
Battery Run Time:
Battery life depends on a number of factors. Most of the time it is the designand the demand for electricity through the machine that will determine the actual battery run time. For example, use the screen to influence the hard drive and other accessories significantly the duration of the term.
What are Smart and Dumb Laptop Batteries:
Some laptop batteries with the internal microprocessor circuits that help manage energy provided to battery, set the charger to the correct algorithm to calculate, predict, duration, or Smart BatterySystem (SBS) forum, a state-of-Charge (SoC) indication. These batteries are called "smart" batteries. The batteries described as "stupid" do not have these features, only colleagues or function can only be in power.
1. "Condition" is a term for the complete charge and discharge a new laptop battery in order to maximize performance and enable them to reach to its maximum capacity. NiMH and NiCd batteries need toAir conditioning at least once a month, the "memory-reducing effect.
2. Metal Connecters should be cleaned to obtain good conductivity
3. Ensure that device's power management features in BIOS and operating system are optimized, off the screen, with Speed Step
4. Avoid using your laptop at night the whole time while charging. The laptop must be turned off occasionally.
5. Store the battery in a cool, dry, clean place ifYou will not be there for a month or longer in use.
6. Reduce the brightness of the LCD screen when decrypting a movie on our laptop. DVD movies and save it on your hard drive to the constant use of the DVD drive to avoid consuming too much electricity
7. Do not expose your laptop battery to heat, moisture, short circuit, drop, or physically abused.
